About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Social Media Expert to lead and support the design, planning, and execution of social media campaigns for a high-profile European institution. You'll help shape and amplify key messages to reach audiences across the EU and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies and content plans aligned with communication priorities

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms (e.g. X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

  • Monitor trends, audience behavior, and platform innovations to inform campaigns

  • Manage paid social media campaigns and analyze performance metrics

  • Coordinate with designers, writers, and policy teams to produce multimedia content

  • Provide strategic input for campaign planning and stakeholder engagement

  • Monitor conversations, engage with audiences, and manage community interactions

  • Report on campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing social media for institutions, organizations, or large brands

  • Deep understanding of major platforms, audience engagement tactics, and analytics tools

  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social)

  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills tailored for social media

  • Excellent command of English (C1+ level); additional EU languages are a plus

  • Familiarity with the EU policy landscape or institutional communication is an advantage
