Online Writer

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and creative Online Writer to support digital content creation for a prestigious European institution. You'll play a key role in crafting engaging content for websites and social media, helping to communicate EU policies, initiatives, and news to a wide audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, draft, and edit clear, engaging, and accessible content for websites and online platforms

• Translate complex policy and technical information into user-friendly language for the general public

• Write articles, features, social media posts, and campaign material tailored to different digital formats

• Collaborate with policy experts, communication teams, and designers to ensure content accuracy and alignment

• Adhere to institutional communication guidelines and tone of voice

• Contribute to planning and producing content for digital campaigns and events

• Optimize content for usability, accessibility, and search engines (SEO)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field

• At least 3 years of proven experience writing for digital audiences

• Exceptional writing and editing skills in English (C2 level)

• Ability to write clearly and concisely for different formats and platforms

• Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. Drupal, WordPress)

• Knowledge of EU policies or experience in an EU institutional context is a strong advantage

• Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and formats
