Support Engineer / SAS Platform (on site)

Mission

As part of a technical team involved in a strategic migration to SAS Viya, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of the SAS 9.4 platform, including deployments, configuration, access and user permissions management, as well as support for development and production environments.

You will act as the main point of contact for diagnosing and resolving incidents related to the SAS infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance and stability of the environments.

You will play a key role in structuring source code management practices using Git and GitLab workflows, including defining branching strategies, managing repositories, handling merge requests, facilitating code reviews, resolving conflicts and overseeing release cycles. Your attention to detail in these areas will directly contribute to the quality and traceability of deliveries.

As part of the ongoing transition to SAS Viya, you will actively contribute to the implementation and improvement of CI/CD pipelines, configuration automation and release management. A good understanding of the SAS Viya architecture and operating model, ideally within cloud environments, will enable you to effectively support this technological transformation.

Technical Environment

Must-have:

• Proven expertise in SAS 9.4 platform administration: deployment, configuration, access management, and production/development support

• Strong knowledge of Git and GitLab workflows: branching, merge requests, code reviews, conflict resolution, version control and release management

• Solid experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, configuration automation and deployment management

• Good knowledge of SAS Viya architecture and operating model

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex incidents in SAS production environments

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure or GCP) for hosting SAS Viya platforms

• Knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes

• Experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform

• Familiarity with release management practices in the context of analytical platform migrations
