Job description

Supporting political communication on social networks, including support to Commissioner for EU International Partnerships. Tasks include social media management, analysis, monitoring, measurement and social engagement, as well as creation of clear and engaging online content in various formats for digital communication (non-exhaustive list).

About the Role

• Creates daily content – involving multiple departments – and builds and maintains a distribution network on various social media sites.

• Writes press releases.

• Monitor news related to International Partnerships and development cooperation portfolio.

• Closely collaborates with internal teams (web, audiovisual, graphic designers) to design and implement social media products and strategies across social media platforms.

Closely collaborates with DG INTPA Commissioner’s Cabinet.

• Ensures community management and participation in online conversations.

• Closely collaborates with external multipliers such as influencers and content creators.

• Helps with identifying journalists and influencers active on social media in relation to the EU international partnerships portfolio and interacts with them by providing them with news and information on political priorities and EU achievements.

• Analyse key trends in relevant content and activity.

• Establish short-term and long-term KPIs for social media advertising (both paid and organic) and develop campaign reporting schedules.

• Gather, analyse, and interpret social data, using the analytics tools with a focus on uncovering actionable insights that will optimise the social media strategy.

Regularly monitor social media performance.

• Evaluate the impact of social media and press initiatives.

Requirements

• Some experience in project management

• Knowledge of political communication on social media and in media globally.

• Knowledge of EU International Partnerships and development cooperation portfolio

• Ability to autonomously research content, excellent writing skills and have the ability to translate difficult policy language into understandable content.

• Creativity, supported by evidence of original strategies/content developed.

• Experience of working with media.

• Experience with social analytics tools and/or reporting.

• Experience with Meta business suite or similar social media advertising tools.

Ability to interpret multiple data sources to find and tell the story behind the numbers.

• Ability to communicate results to stakeholders.

• Knowledge of search engine optimisation.

• Knowledge of AI technologies.

• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

• Experience creating detailed reports.
