About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join one of our long-running digital transformation programmes for the European Commission. You will contribute to large-scale corporate IT solutions supporting grant and procurement management across multiple European initiatives.
In this role, you will work closely with Commission stakeholders, solution architects, product owners, and development teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and help shape end-to-end processes within a complex international environment.
What You Will Do
Analyse and document business requirements and workflows
Perform business process modelling and business case analysis
Define functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
Decompose high-level needs into detailed specifications for development teams
Ensure requirement traceability and manage changes throughout the lifecycle
Support the preparation of project documentation (vision documents, charters, security plans, etc.)
Identify service gaps and improvement opportunities to enhance user satisfaction
Contribute to risk analysis and solution design activities

What We’re Looking For
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (EQF Level 6)
Required skills & experience
Strong knowledge of information systems and large-organisation business processes
Proficiency in business analysis and modelling techniques (BPMN, UML, use cases, ERD)
Experience preparing clear, structured functional documentation
Hands-on experience with analysis and collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, MS Visio)
Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, RUP)
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
Fluency in English (C1)
Nice-to-have
Knowledge of relational databases and data modelling
Experience with Enterprise Architect, ARIS, or Balsamiq
Familiarity with Java/JEE or integration/middleware environments
