Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Webmaster to support the ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of a preformatted Drupal-based webpage hosted on the Europa Web Publishing Platform (EWPP). The ideal candidate will contribute to ensuring a user-friendly, accessible, and compliant online presence that aligns with European institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the integration, migration, and updating of web content using Drupal on the EWPP platform.

  • Manage the uploading, versioning, and publication of documents and multimedia files across the website.

  • Support the definition and integration of technological components within EWPP.

  • Perform document transformation, basic multimedia editing, and data visualization to support content integration.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a clear and user-friendly navigation structure in line with European Commission guidelines.

  • Organize and optimize content to improve user experience and engagement.

  • Assist in evaluating and updating the webpage to reflect changing audience needs and expectations.

  • Incorporate and implement feedback from stakeholders to enhance functionality and outreach.

  • Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards and data protection regulations for all published content.

  • Conduct quality assurance checks, correct encoding errors, and ensure technical accuracy.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including communication specialists, policy officers, and IT personnel to ensure a cohesive digital presence.

Requirements:

  • Educational background in web development, multimedia, digital communications, or a related field.

  • Basic experience with Drupal or other CMS platforms is an asset.

  • Familiarity with web standards, including accessibility (WCAG) and GDPR compliance.

  • Understanding of file formats and document transformation tools (e.g., PDF, DOCX, HTML).

  • A keen eye for detail and quality control.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional EU languages is an advantage.
