Application Support Engineer

We are looking for an open-minded Application Support Engineer, ready to work in a multicultural environment. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be a supporting member of a team that will provide full application support assistance to the business user. The team is responsible for analyzing application/user issues and errors, identifying and resolving issues and problems to maintain the applications within agreed standards, and documenting investigations. You will work proactively on the identification and removal of poor/weak or manual operational practices.

Your main assignations :

• Process requests in a timely and orderly fashion ensuring the process is followed.
• Carry out incident investigation and resolution, using the incident management tool and following ITIL best practice
• Complete daily BAU runbooks to critical timescales.
• Identifying, creating, and maintaining appropriate monitoring alerts and dashboards to ensure full application and system coverage
• Assess and contribute to prioritisation of problem/CI activity
• Carry out technical analysis for Problem/CI.
• Participate in peer review for changes, provides guidance to peers on standards
• Maintain, support, and protect the Production environment
• Process, best practice, system, and application support standards are consistently applied and constantly improved upon

• You hold a Bachelor and minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience in a Financial Services industry
• Knowledge of scripting language
• Understanding of application code in Java
• Ability to manage workload to meet deadlines
  
• Able to identify and correct errors, and learn from mistakes to prevent any future reoccurrence
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
• You have a certification such as ITIL Foundation Level (V4)
• Fluency in English.
