Business Analyst - Digital Workflow

Job description

We are looking for two Business Analyst with good communication skills, not afraid to ask or share their own thought sort ideas, be able to speak up, be persistent, not afraid of challenges, be proactive, experienced in big architectures, multiple teams communication required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze and document business processes and workflows, creating clear and structured process maps and visual models (e.g. BPMN or equivalent).

  2. Review existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and gaps, and propose improvements in collaboration with stakeholders.

  3. Collect and interpret process-related data and indicators (such as processing times, handovers, or error points) to support workflow analysis and decision-making.

  4. Support root cause analysis activities by investigating workflow issues and contributing to the identification of underlying process problems.

  5. Participate in the design, validation, and refinement of updated workflows, ensuring alignment with business needs and system constraints.

  6. Collaborate with multiple business and technical teams to ensure consistent understanding and implementation of workflows across systems.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (EQF Level 6)

Requirements:

Process Mapping & Modeling: The ability to create visual representations of workflows. This often requires proficiency in notations like BPMN 2.0 (Business Process Model and Notation) or standard flowcharts.

Data Analysis: You must be able to interpret "process data"—metrics like cycle time (how long a task takes), lead time, and error rates. Knowledge of Excel, SQL, or BI tools (like Tableau/Power BI) is often necessary to find patterns.

Root Cause Analysis: When a workflow fails, you need skills like the "5 Whys" or Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagrams to find the source of the problem rather than just fixing the symptom.

Simulation & Testing: The ability to "run" a new workflow in a controlled environment or using software to predict how changes will impact the rest of the system.

Additional information: This position is needs to be performed as “near-site” in Belgium. Teleworking is only allowed within Belgium.
